Dave Dowskin has always had a need for speed! Over the last 45 years, Dave, has raced in the air, on land, and even at Sea. In the 70's Dave was one of the founders of the California National Air races at Mojave. During this time he directed the races and in his spare time also, flew his P-51 Mustang in the Unlimited class. In later years he found himself in charge of the Hughes Flying Boat, The Spruce Goose, stationed in Long Beach. In 1982, Dave then turned his attentions to Yacht Racing. He has raced in four TRANSPAC races, and won his class twice! In 1991 and again in 1993 Dave and his crew won the Yachting Cup at the San Diego yacht Club and was awarded The Yachting Magazine top Trophy for out performing all of the other 140 Yachts in the fleet! Dave then acquired and raced a 1957 Corvette for a few years, before turning his sights on open wheel racing. In 2008 he acquired the RALT RT5 formerly driven by Roger Penske JR. He brought the car to SABINA Prep to have the car restored to as close to original as possible. Since then Dave has had the car to several races with great success. Dave being a young 61 hopes to race in many of the west coast vintage events in the coming years.
